If you believe that I have something
That you’ve set your heart on wanting
And I don’t supply it as you like
And feel somehow deprived
Then you’ve fallen in the ego’s trap
Of feeling yourself lacking
And believing there is something
More you must have to be whole
But the devil is a liar
He will say your dreams are hopeless
And convince you you’re unworthy
Hoping you’ll believe that’s true
When the truth is you are perfect
You have all your heart’s desires
And to think that you lack something
Is to disbelieve in God
It’s all in how you see it
Perfect faith comes with a blindfold
It will not be that things happen
When and where and how you wish
You must first see your own wholeness
You must find that nothing’s missing
You must bask in all the love we are
And never doubt it’s hold
You must know in all your wisdom
That your heart has such abundance
That if anything is added
Then your cup will overflow
So my wish is that you know this
Deep inside and with no doubt
That you’re more than all your feelings
And worth far more than your deeds
You have everything you’ve asked for
Gifts unopened in your hands
But peace relies on your perception
And the truth that’s in your mind
That you always will be wanted
You’ve been made a perfect image
Of a God that wills you happy
And the future’s in His hands
So beware of the temptation
To see yourself unfairly treated
It’s the mischief of frustration
That deceives a weakened heart
We’re entwined for that’s His purpose
You are loved for that is mine
Time is kind and teaches lessons
Let’s hold fast these ties that bind
