It simply cannot be that to behold beauty, one must first perceive ugliness.
What kind of God would make something ugly just to force us to appreciate His beauty?
It simply cannot be that to enjoy good health, there must first be sickness?
What kind of savior makes a child suffer sickness just to prove His power of healing?
It simply cannot be that God created death, so that I will love this life in appreciation, and fear of how it will end.
What kind of Love engenders fear?
The only answer that makes sense to me is that God is not the author of this world’s beauty, ugliness, health, sickness, life or inevitable death. He can only be Love, which has no opposite.
