All The World’s a Stage

When the final curtain falls

and the play is over

the audience waits for the actors who portrayed the devils to take their bows

Their costumes so convincing

As they spewed out hateful lines

We believed them when they told us who they were

So when their true selves emerge

There’s a collective sigh of relief

Because they’ve dropped the ugly masks of terror they had fooled us with so thoroughly

The house lights come on

And we exhale all our mistaken beliefs

Now smiling, these players are applauded  for how truly good they truly are

At the end all the masks come off

As we gladly realize that all the world’s a stage

And we join together to laugh and laugh and laugh…
