I cannot be truly helpful,
until I am truly harmless.
The meek shall inherit the earth.
I cannot be satisfied,
until I cease comparing myself to you.
Judge not lest ye be judged.
I cannot heal,
until I put down these thoughts I use to hurt myself.
Whatever is holy, think on these things.
I cannot find true love,
until I am courageous enough to abandon all its pitiful substitutes.
Perfect love casts out fear.
I cannot know peace,
until I let go of my expectations.
All things work together for good.
I cannot know joy,
until I join hearts with my brother.
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.
I cannot know the fruits of the Spirit,
until I am willing to give up all that I think I have.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
