One must be brave to face and mourn one’s losses.
To hide the pain just gives it hidden strength.
The wise will see the beauty in misfortune,
And know the joy that comes along with change.
Before one can accept the future’s mandate,
And live in peace with what is on one’s path,
One’s eyes must focus, study and intuit,
Precisely what is lost, then mourn at last.
Because it’s only in the honest feeling
That the heart adjusts to its new future state.
It’s only by examining what’s dying
That the soul may start to live again, awake.
Then once we see and know and feel what’s taken,
And let it go, unfurling grasping hands;
It’s finally then our arms can start embracing,
The good to come intended by His Plan.
